Intel decided in 1989 to build its European manufacturing operations in Leixlip, County Kildare, and formed Intel Ireland to be the holding company. The manufacturing plant manufactured its first chip in 1993. Over the last 20 years SIBS have been involved in the main commissioning and validation works at this world class manufacturing facility. The facility comprises several high grade cleanrooms and SiBS well trained staff have utilised effective commissioning methods to ensure that our activities have minimal impact on this live building.
