Letterkenny General Hospital (LGH) is an acute general and maternity Hospital, which forms an integral part of the Health Service Executive North West Region. Letterkenny General Hospital is a 340 bed hospital, and provides a wide range of acute hospital services on an in-patient, day-case and out-patient basis.

SiBS were appointed to carry out commissioning and validation of the new Emergency Department and Medical Wards at the Hospital. The new Emergency Department incorporates an 11 bed Medical Assessment Unit and X-Ray room and has 19 treatment spaces. The new facility alsoprovides 3 medical floors which consist of a total of 72 beds, two thirds of which will be provided in single rooms, which are state of the art and to the highest infection control standards.
